The shortlisted entries for the inaugural Greenbuild awards will be on display at Greenbuild Expo 2012. With their own dedicated part of the exhibition, the successful projects will be showcased and the teams behind each building will be on hand to answer any questions on their achievements. The award categories cover all sectors of the built environment, with prizes for excellence in newbuild and retrofit for domestic, leisure, retail, workplace and education buildings. There is also a category for the best new retrofit product. This will be judged by the Energy House team at the University of Salford and finalists will be pitching their products to the judges live on the first day of Greenbuild Expo. The finalists will be announced on 1st March and the winners on 9th May, at a celebratory dinner at Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry.
