Greenbuild EXPO exhibition and conference of sustainable building

Past shows

Greenbuild Expo launched in 2009 and has quickly grown to be the biggest sustainable building event in the north of England, attracting all sectors of the built environment from all over the UK.

Established as a professionals event, the highlights include the extensive conference programme, popular sessions on green refurb and energy saving for commercial buildings. With over 100 sessions to choose from on everything from the Code for Sustainable Homes and renewable energy to healthcare refurb and post-occupancy monitoring, there was plenty of choice for all sectors of the built environment and 2012 will bring even more with the focus including Green Deal and Fabric first.

An attendance increase of 50%, on the 2010 event,  saw 2011 top 4,000 visitors comprising of a mix of the public and private sector, with local authorities, housing associations, architects, contractors, planners, engineers and consultants all represented at the event. Another growth area was businesses, facilities managers, energy managers and contractors all seeking solutions to rising costs and how to minimise their buildings impact on the environment. Almost 90% stated that Greenbuild Expo 2011 met their needs, whether that was solutions for current projects, research for future projects, information sourcing at seminars or networking with like-minded professionals. With over 80% of visitors saying the seminar content was good or excellent and 88% intending to return in 2012 visitor feedback has been excellent with many requests for more information on the topics covered at the show.

Greenbuild Expo was a great opportunity for Gentoo to meet like-minded people from a range of businesses and to begin, what could become, very rewarding relationships. Over the two days we engaged in varied and interesting conversations, enabling us to see how the housing sector and wider sustainable business community is responding to the variety of issues we face today and in the future

The exhibition was a great success for Baxi group generating a significant interest in our Baxi Ecogen mCHP unit and our Bioflo biomass boiler. The event’s ability to deliver the right level of visitor was helped by the varied and comprehensive range of seminars available along side the exhibition. Our seminar on mCHP attracted great interest - the subject matter is certainly one which attracts a positive response and a great many questions. We are pleased to be associated with Greenbuild 2010 and the interest it generates in the green technology.

Simon Osborne, Baxi Group

Greenbuild Expo was a great success for us and we ended up with a busy stand for the complete two days and lots of good quality leads from the show. We had a stand at other events in this sector and the quality and quantity of leads we gained from Greenbuild Expo were far superior. It seemed there were people there with real questions and not just having a general look round.
